Changing Focus???

Hi Guys,

I was thinking that if I always post about environment and charity only, then may be my blog will become uninteresting and gradually people will stop reading it. Not only that but sometimes I feel to share other things with you guys.

Let me start with recent Mr. Bean video I had seen. Hope it will bring some laughter and positive enery in your day.

You have to stop it.

Generally a cell phone bill is around 15-20 pages and sometimes more. Does anyone really read it? Or does anyone even care to open the envelope? Most of the people are just interested in knowing the amount due. That you can check at one click of mouse over internet. Also you can enroll for auto-payment every month. Then why not to stop paper statement? I have got my all bank, credit card, phone bills electronic. My credit card company even claims that they will plant one tree if I stop paper statement. I am not much sure abut it, but I am sure that I am saving many trees by stopping all my paper statements. If your mail-box gets flooded with pre-approved credit card offers then you can stop it by making only one call. Look at the bottom of any such credit card offer, you will find one 1-800 number, dial it and opt out. This is some kind of centralized database, so by one call you can stop all credit card offers. I have done that, too. Oh, and the number two reason I did this all is I don’t want to spend hours on shredding paper statements. I don’t want any security scam to happen with me. So I shred any paper with my name, SSN, address or phone number in sunflower seed size.

I request you my friends, please act right now. Stop all your paper statements and enroll for electronic copy.

Meet My Friend - Tejas

Hi Guys,

This is my friend Tejas. He is a real computer savvy, vary smart and very funny guy. He is the most chivalrous guy I have ever seen. You can always find him holding doors open for girls and carrying their shopping bags. He has solutions to all your social, emotional, study or work problems.

Ok, these are not the only impressive facts about him. This weekend I had gone shopping with him. We shopped from JCPenny, Macys, Gap and Sears then we went to American Eagle. He bought a shirt from there and on register he said to the cashier that he did not need a bag. He put his shirt in his JCPenny bag. This was a small thing but I was all impressed.

I have decided many times that I will take my canvas tote with me for shopping, but I always forget it. So here is a new idea. After buying one thing you can stuff all your next articles in the same shopping bag and save some paper or plastic. Both guys and girls can implement it. Tejas, Thank you. Oh BTW he is an owner of very interesting blog - Discover something....Everyday!

Carpool, People carpool

Hey Guys,

I have decided to postpone buying a new car for me as long as I can. The number one reason behind it is sky touching gas prices. My workplace is 20 miles far from my home so I travel 40 miles daily. Right now I carpool with friends. I believe myself so blessed for following reasons:
  • My friend is so nice; my commuting doesn’t cost me a penny.

  • I don’t get stressed in the morning as I don’t have to drive daily on those freeways full of traffic.

  • Big freeways have separate lane for carpool, so from my carpool lane I can see other lanes moving at snail speed.

  • I save money, time and help environment.

What are your thoughts? What are other advantages and possible disadvantages? If it’s not possible for everyone everyday, one can share a ride at least once a week. That can make a considerable difference to your pocket and Mother Nature.
