I have decided to postpone buying a new car for me as long as I can. The number one reason behind it is sky touching gas prices. My workplace is 20 miles far from my home so I travel 40 miles daily. Right now I carpool with friends. I believe myself so blessed for following reasons:
- My friend is so nice; my commuting doesn’t cost me a penny.
- I don’t get stressed in the morning as I don’t have to drive daily on those freeways full of traffic.
- Big freeways have separate lane for carpool, so from my carpool lane I can see other lanes moving at snail speed.
- I save money, time and help environment.
What are your thoughts? What are other advantages and possible disadvantages? If it’s not possible for everyone everyday, one can share a ride at least once a week. That can make a considerable difference to your pocket and Mother Nature.
